Summer and Fall pixs in NY

This is one of my favorite beaches on the Island. What follows is my little adventure when I followed the footsteps of a seagull. :)

A fisherman at the point of the Island

A pretty sunset near the point.

Someone once stated that "living in the NorthEast can be deary, dealing with the cold weather 5 months out of the year". Cold weather is a relative term and 5 months is a bit of an exaggeration. :) I guess I see it like one's walk with the Lord. There are the valleys as well as the mountains. If we don't have the valleys, how can we grow as Christians and appreciate the mountians. The four season reminds me of this and I'm thankful that the Lord did create the change in seasons. My favorite season is the fall and here are some pixs I took this past season when I went hiking. Enjoy.

A nice spot to take a break and look down at the lake.

A leaf that caught my eye.

COLORS!!!

In the far distance is what is known as the gunk where rockclimbers climb the ridges. The sticking item on top of the ridge is the Mohank mountain house (one of the oldest mountain house in the east coast).

Did you really take all those pictures?!

Wow, they're awesome.

Yes I did Gunny. I have the Cannon Rebel. Cool Toy! I'm still learning how to use it. So many features. Isn't New York just gorgeous? You see if you came out here, I'd take you to all these cool places! Including NYC and a sure seat at Yankee Stadium! Ahhh...just don't wear your St. Louis cap though....I don't really want to get mugged. :)

Very nice pixs.Is your camera digital or film? I just started to again take pixs. I have a nikon n80. Mine is film. I have been away from it for a long time.I am BibleRon on the Baptist forum.

Hey BibleRon! I know who you are! :o) My camera is digital (it's the Cannon Rebel XT). I use to play around with the film camera until it broke. I use to develop my own pictures and enjoyed playing around with black & white pixs. But it's kind of an expensive hobby. Digital makes it so much cheaper (in the long run ...it's expensive when you purchase the digital camera!).
But yes, thanks for the compliment --- but we really owe our praise to the Lord for the beauty of the land. He's the one who makes it looks sooo beautiful. :o) But this pixs is also to show for those that doesn't understand that 90% of New York is country! :o)
